Bullpup M14

My next project is a Bullpup M14, exactly that(AWCG2A):
http://i786.photobucket.com/albums/y...uns/AWCG2A.jpg
I started with a normal ACM ABS stock:

After I covered it with PVC/PUR foam blocks:

Next I sanded it into form:

Then I covered it with polyesther resin/fiberglass laminate:

I made the cheek piece same way:

Some days ago I sanded... sanded... and sanded:

The reason of posting here too, that I really need L85/SA80 trigger dimensions:
-Thickness in mms(form is OK from plans, but I don't know the "third dimension of it")?
-Cross section shape(at back contour "sharp" or "flat")?
If you have this gun(SA80/L85) please post here at least th thickness... please... Thanx!

Awesome progress !
how are you doing the wiring?

Strelok August 4th, 2011 10:53

Huh, this is brilliant.

I've been wanting to make a bullpup SMG based off of a mac11. Where do you buy the materials to do this? Very interested...

Fiberglass airsoft... mmmmmm :)

Flippy August 4th, 2011 15:45

-full auto: trigger switch 'bridged'
-semi auto: full auto+burst wizard set into 'DMR-mode'(1 shoot/s).
-a toggle switch to select between the two functions(right-full/middle-safe/left-semi)
-electro trigger(to on/off the function)

I think google will show you where to get materials(also used for sailing boat building/repair) ;)

VERY impressive work!

So yours looks like it's going to be fairly shorter than the one pictured eh? Or are you going to use a full length barrel set?

The Chad August 4th, 2011 18:44

That is beautiful. Good job, excited to see the finished product. Maybe...patent?

Azathoth August 4th, 2011 20:19

I would love to see you on the field

That's great!
-At arrow: sharp or or flat(and which cross-section type)?
-At "X": thickness from left to right side of the trigger in mms(perpendicular to photo's level)?

And thanx again!!!

I'm in Europe so sadly we can't met on battlefield...:(

I'll use short barrel, with the long version's flash hinder...

Very, very nice! I approve!

I worked on the metall parts, and the rubber stock end(It can be finished 100% just after the stock is painted):

I cut off the front sight... but it looks like "removed" like on this photo:

Now metall parts fit into the stock(including battery). I have to make the trigger system, and finish the charging handle. I'll use that red/green dot on it.
