RS SVD identification.

Hey guys,
Just wondering if there are any distinctive marks on the RS SVD to set it apart from another SVD. The only other SVD that is capable of semi automatic fire is the CA SVD right? So how can i tell if one is RS or CA?

There's also an A&K SVD AEG that's allegedly a clone of the real sword. Just in case the waters weren't muddy enough for you.

If you have hold them in your hands, you definitely can tell the difference.

I think Realswords have Model number RS- and then serial number as part of the markings. Posting a picture of the gun and serial number might help.

@Disco_Dante, I thought A&K only made the bolt action one.

@T@ank, I have not held the RS nor CA one, so that way of identification won't work.

@Kingsix, where are the RS serial numbers located? I was looking at the RS SVD on RS's website and non of the pictures show serial numbers
http://www.realsword.com.hk/news_12.htm

Also, would it be easier to just identify something that is not RS? Since the only other brands of semi auto SVDs are CA and A&K, will there be CA and A&K markings on their guns?

I know the Realsword has a much more 'genuine' sheen to the metal, gun blued. CA paints most of their guns with an enamel I beleive? I may be wrong.

Just in front of the magwell on a RS you will have a serial starting with RS for example mine is RS000979 (It's fairly faded now)

I have a CA instock. The only marking is "SVD0887" underneath the charging handle on the receiver.

Ok, I will try to get a picture of the serial number.
But just from looking at this picture, can anyone tell if it is RS? http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/6339/img0048yl.jpg

little too grainy, but the stock and handguards do appear to be either real or realsword

Definately not a Classic Army. I also have one in stock and the metal body is much shinyer on a CA.

COL.TIKER August 26th, 2011 15:29

Maybe this picture is a little bit better.

Looks like a RS to me. Look at that rusty bolt.

Gish August 26th, 2011 18:13

Honestly in front of the magwell - Does it have a RS serial number... 100% way to tell if it's a Realsword or not.
