Reshape Ni-mh battery ?

Hey guys, just wondering. Is it possible to reaccomodate the cells of one of my old batteries into another shape ?
I have a 8.4 stick type and 9.6 nunchuck that I would like to convert into Realsword type 97-like shape.

Thanks

Its absolutely possible, but it requires some known how. You would need to have a soldering iron, 12,14,16 gauge wire, connecter (deans/tamiya,etc), shrink tubing wrap, and battery bar like http://www.wsdeans.com/products/bars/index.html. Most of these can be found at any quality r/c store.

Yeah, but what worries me most is that I was told that the cells could be dammaged if they were not joined by electric soldering... Is that true ?

negative. you just have to make sure your soldering iron is hot enough to minimize the length of contact.

+1 on the advice given so far. I would add that you should also use a quality rosin core solder and not acid core. Acid core flux can promote corrosion of the battery connection. I have made multiple pack configurations with 6 and 7 cell packs for rc cars and as long as you are careful, minimize the amount of heat the cells endure (hence the need for a hot iron), and use quality wire and gold battery bars you will be successful.
