WE vs. KJW
 

I'm looking at getting a pistol and I've been looking to get an M9 and for the most part I've been looking at WE or KJW, i looked at to many airsoft forums to find which one is better, and to find a good review about the 2 but i cant find a really good one, so i'm just going to post this up. i just want to get your guys opinion on both of these company's which one is better or which one is a better buy!

From what i seen and read WE is the better of the 2 but not by much so which one do you guys think is the better of the 2 and which one i should get if i were to get a pistol?

i also know that i am not AV yet but i am still trying to get AV ASAP!

Both are prone to breakdown. I see WE pistols themselves breakdown quite often. They seem like very unreliable guns. It really depends which type of pistol your looking for. I own KJW sig p226 its gorgeous and functions well. The mags are garbage on it though and require gasket maker to seal properly. If your looking for a really reliable pistol but you don't mind a plastic slide I'd go with a Tokyo Marui.

Yeah i'm looking at getting an M9, yeah i heard that about both, that's why i'm a little undecided on which one to get, I've been looking at a few KWA's to and TM i wouldn't mind getting either, i don't really mind not having a full metal gun either, but for the most part I've been only been able to find WE or KJW that's why i asked which one of the 2 would be a better buy,but i'm still looking around for KWA's and any other company really! If anyone has anymore opinions on different company's it would be good to hear it!

Get AV'ed and buy a TM.

I like my KSC System 7, KWA NS2 is the exact same with white laser etching for trademark.

kind of a stretch, but I had an HFC beretta that was just a cut above the rest. HFC apparently has a good lemon rate though

Here's the Coles notes on pistols for guys who are new to them. They're rules of thumb that tend to hold true over time...they're general statements, and there's always the odd exception to the rule here and there. This applies to factory made stuff...not custom one off or upgraded pistols

1. There's usually a trade off between getting a pistol that's full metal and great performance/reliability. Lean towards the best reliability you can...because gas pistols are finicky.

2. Metal...not all builds are created equally. Too heavy and things will either be sluggish or beat themselves to death. To weak...and they'll just break.

3. Bigger magazines = more gas reserve = better shot to shot performance. That may not fit what you're looking for in a slim 1911 style pistol...but in use it's hard to beat a big mag with a lot of gas in it.

4. Common pistols are great....'cause there's lots of parts/pieces/upgrades/mags available for them. If you buy that funky WE Dragon chopped slide pistol...when it breaks (and it will), it's garbage.

5. Simple is better. A select fire G18C/G23F/M93R etc...might sound uber cool and flexible (and they are!)...but lots of fiddly bits in a "toy" that gets pounded with every shot is not a long term working combination. And once they go south...they're dead.

6. Different guns use different gas systems. Most use a NPAS system, others use a PPAS. The TM setup is very, very reliable. The KWA PTP system puts out A LOT of power...often more than what's allowed in sub 350fps games.

7. In the end...what you'll want is a reliable pistol that you can bang away with, that'll function every time and that you can easily get mags for.

What that all adds up to be....

....get a common TM (e.g. Hicapa, 1911 variant, Glock). Shoot the crap out of it until (maybe) the plastic slide breaks. Then replace the plastic slide with a quality metal slide and a stiffer recoil spring. Then continue to shoot the crap out of it.

The m9 is one of TM's oldest offerings. Comes with a fixed hop and isn't as impressive as their later models. KSC system 7 m9 is probably the best beretta on the market. It's the same as the kwa m9 ptp, but has nicer trademarks. If the FPS is too high you can drop in an NPAS for half the price of a new magazine.

This NPAS is only compatible with KSC's?
