We g17

there's no such thing as...wait, what?

WE G17

Quote:

News just come to hand from WE distributer Powerstar, is that they have just released a Glock 17 gas blowback replica. No Glock trademarks but some equally attractive WE markings. Unsure at this stage if it’s a licensed reproduction as Glock is very litigious when it comes to tradedress let alone tradmarks. Gallery follows.
might interest some people out there, or not.

I bet their G17 deserves the worst on the market.

Awfull trades and they seem to have reproduced the Marui safety/number plate annoyingly enough... wonder if it's a straight up Marui clone.

could be, you'd still have to change the whole frame to get rid of that awful, awful WE trade.

Seems like something I'd buy.

And slap a Hogue grip on.

Internals look exactly the same as the TM G17, hopefully means the Guarder frame would work with it.

Regardless I wouldn't buy one as I already have a TM G17 and G18C also the TMs have been around for a while and are proven.

Scouser October 20th, 2011 18:45

well, at least the finish looks nice on it...

audi_bhoy October 20th, 2011 19:26

Yup, copied on the TM G's seeing the hammer wheel. I prefer the KSC System on Glock GBBs, as the slide seems to return on ball bearings as the hammer's return flap passes over it without friction, instead of the TM wheel that the slide has to push down again on the return of the slide...

Crunchmeister October 20th, 2011 19:44

How good they'll see remains to be seen. WE have never been very good at making pistols.

I'll stick with my trusty KSC G17.

Yea I thought that was a little low. My TM G17 is shooting 310-320 fps. Although I heard WE G17 mags work better than TM ones. Problem is I can't find them anywhere.

Doubtful that gun will be seen in this country due to trademark issue. Even if the gun itself doesn't have trademarks on it. It is still a glock.

So how do you explain recent availability of Meister and Marui glocks on canadian soil? Full trademarks there.
