Cheap metal mid-frame for Hi-Capa 4.3?

So here's my question (after looking at the "Amazing Race Gun" thread nonetheless):

Where the heck do you guys get those metal mid frames for 1911/2011? My cansoft one keeps breaking and it's hella annoying.

I know that ILLusion makes one, but its $420! And that's more than my gun itself.

What I'm looking for is a cheapish one to replace the horrid plastic junk (-.-)

If you're AV'd you can get them.

Freeze January 6th, 2012 21:46

And how much do they cost? (-.-)

Ok, now I'm mentally prepared. Lay it on me.
I heard they were quite expensive...

200-300+ at least they were last year when I looked into it on the classifieds. I decided it would be better to just buy a TM.

Also there can be fitting issues, and by sounds of things you would want a gun doc to install it, if you found a frame.

Your best bet is once you get AV is try and sell it as a parts gun, and buy yourself a better make, like a TM.

That's.......so expensive!

But, yeah, I think that's probably my best course of action at this point.

Oh well, guess I'm stuck using a revolver for now (-.-)

I sell original Tokyo Marui metal mid-frames. Sold a few already. All of my customers are happy. I even upgraded a WE Cansoft with one of these, and then put that gun in the hands of a complete noob and told him to shoot a CAPS certification session and run a qualification course with it. He passed with flying colours, and with zero problems.

Bollocks. I sell them for half of that, depending on the model of gun you have. If you're age verified, PM me and I'll get you the actual price quote for the model you have.

ZERO fitment issues. It's a direct drop-in with the proper components (which I supply with it). Zero modifications required, and it shoots proper from the get-go.

Freeze, I see you're in the GTA. Meet with me in person, and I can do the sales transaction for you if you're age of majority. I'll get you AV'ed at the same time.

When you're 13.....yes that's expensive.

Save up your pennies and wait.

Freeze January 7th, 2012 10:45

But, I'm not 13. Lol.

However, I will save up my pennies, because I still need to buy a bunch of gear and clothing. Sigh...
