Vietnam era Suppressors?

Curious. Are there any airsoft suppressors/silencers out there that would be accurate to a vietnam era gun? The rifle in question is a WE XM177E2 that i'm throwing together.

From photos i've seen, something as simple as the 'tube' suppressors Action sells on Airsoftparts would work. But if there is a better choice I'd definitely take that over the other.

Thanks!

Mac-10 and grease gun had them. I can't recall a carbine with one though.

I bought the Action suppressor (140mm version) that you are referring to for my XM177.

Personally I think it would look way better with a longer suppressor with more girth. Here's a picture for reference:

That looks nice! What length is that one? I was thinking of purchasing the 25cm one from Airsoftparts. Perhaps get a longer tightbore barrel in there.

That's the 140mm one, I think the 250mm would probably look way better, but might still be a bit too skinny.

Can't really help you out on your question on the VN period authenticity though. I did sort through some random threads and found a few pictures of M16s with suppressors, so I don't think you can go wrong with a plain "tube" style:

As you can probably figure with my optics choice, I was going more for the Black Hawk Down look.

haha, those are the pictures I was looking at earlier!

And yeah, I figure i'll do just that. I'll buy the 25cm one next paycheque. Hopefully i'll have my other things by then too!

Thanks.

Anytime. Make sure to post up some pictures once you get your hands on it!
