Scope on Carry Handle?
Just ordered a Echo1 m16 from Toronto Airsoft... It doesn't have rails and my question is: is it possible to fix a red dot sight on it without a rail?
I'm posting in the newb section because: a. I am one b. I'm sure it's posted somewhere on the ASC boards, but searching through all the threads for answers is like searching for a needle in a haystack! ;) Thanks! Rob |
you would need to buy a carry handle scope mount, its a simple rail that attaches to the carry handle.

Yup you want something like this $15 @ marstar . but there are tons of different kinds out there

It depends, if you bought the Stag 15 DMR or the VN model. The DMR has a detachable carry handle which covers the upper reciever rail, but with the VN model the carry handle is part of the the upper.
DMR--- just take the carry handle off and then you can attach your optics directly to the upper VN--- you will need to buy a carry handle optic mount which is carried by TA http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=209 |
I have got a detachable carry handle but actually like the look of a scope mounted on a carry handle. Here is a preview of what you should expect with the carry handle mount.

Fantabulous, thanks dudes!

Yup.. definitely! One of the possible configurations for my ICS, as below, just need the $15.00 dovetail handlebar mounting as posted by Tex. Iron sights should be fully useable to boot...
Carry handle does come off on the ICS M4's, and the scope is mountable on the rail below.. but i like it in a retro sort of way, this way. http://www.chairintheair.ca/gallery/...-+Sniper+1.jpg |
If you get an ACOG or other similar setups I think you can mount those without rails at all. There's a hole in the top of the carry handle for some sort of mount I think...
Likea this: http://www.internationalpolicesupply.net/trijicon.jpg However the rail option's probably easier and more versatile. |
