Aimpoint sits a little too low, need ideas to raise it up

Okay, I recently put together an M4 CQB. For reference it uses a 416 style fixed stock. I run an Aimpoint M2 on it with the cantilever mount, but the problem is that when I'm wearing a wire mesh lower mask, I can't quite aim properly.

I borrowed a buddy's 1" rail riser for the rest of the game and that fixed the problem, but then my cheek wasn't touching the stock at all. Ideally I would like to raise the aimpoint just a little bit, like 1/4" and then it would be perfect.

So the first option I found is a super low profile rail riser: http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...products_id=28

Pretty sure that would work, but not 100%.

Second option is this: http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...roducts_id=163

Looks like that screws together in 3 pieces and it might be possible for me to just get some longer screws and a spacer plate to raise it up to exactly where it needs to be.

Does anyone have any opinions on which of those 2 options may be better, or if there's something else I'm overlooking? I'm assuming other people have probably had this happen before but nothing really turned up in a search...

Dealextreme has rail raisers and it's not expensive

either go with the rail rise or just get another red dot. another option is to find a low profile face mask.

The following is a way my brother "Noveske" protects his face
He modified one of those old school sansei masks. He noticed that the lower half of the Sansei mask is much more lower profile than other mask types enabling a closer cheek weld for lower-mounted optics.

The Balistic Glasses are Oakley M Frame 2.0s if you were wondering

If all you're after is 1/4" I don't see why the 1st option wouldn't work for you. If I were you I'd try that.

I switched from the larger V2 style mesh mash to the V1 style and found a huge difference in the height of my cheek weld, that might be worth checking out.

+1 for the Wilcox. The height is perfect for what you are looking for.
