Inner Barrel

Hello everybody,

I put a barrel extension on my JG HK416 so now its full length instead of CQB,
obviously this gives me room to put a longer inner barrel into the gun...

1) Does a longer inner barrel help in anyway? (increase fps, increase accuracy?
2) When purchasing a inner barrel what do I have to look out for? What is a good inner barrel make/brand to get?
3) Good sources?

Thank you

I don't think inner barrels increases "accuracy" but it do increases fps by 5-10fps and your effective range's grouping. If you want accuracy, you'll have to upgrade things that plays along with hop ups and adjust. Takes a while for you to find the sweet spot. A very very good brand if you dont want to spend a arm are madbull's python ver.2 , i heard modify hybrid isnt so bad either. Check put airsoft parts.ca or smtg like that!! Some people might ask you to get the "twisted japanese barrel" but its about 120$ versus 30-40$.

High end steel barrels (Prometheus, Lonex are examples) will certainly help accuracy and also often give a slight (10-15fps) fps boost.

as above, high quality barrels, will increase accuracy very slightly up to about 420ish mm, then they're all the same
Hop rubber affects your accuracy more than anything else

+1 to prometheus barrels

After running several different PTWs I have seen a slight increase in distance with a longer barrel. The Carbine out shoots the CQB, and the M16 out shoots both; but only by ten to twenty feet or so. I did notice a better accuracy as well at range. This was true with all tests. I've seen different effects with AEGs, springers, and GBBRs. Hop-up and airseal always play the biggest role in BB stability. Then it's BB weight and velocity, then barrel bore and length. You won't get the same effects with every gun, but there are some guidelines to follow.

Is that brand compatible with a WE open bolt?

I've seen some on websites and they say it's for an AEG, and one for the WE PDW.

Would any Prometheus inner barrel work with a WE? Regardless if it says AEG?

Thanks,

Chris

With WE open bolt, RA-Tech makes solid inner barrels for some models.

+1 to RA-Tech for the WE's
