Airframe helmet covers?

Aside from the official crye cover. Is anyone making knock off af covers? I'll probably order the crye mc. But would like other colors. Not many people seem to carry them.

Anyone see them on any sites?

Thanks

Unfortunately I don't think there is any knock offs right now. I have been looking myself and all I found was a set of what I assume was authentic Arc rails and cover sold by Toy Soldier for the Airframe but at a marked up price. (something like $230usd for the set) For the price I think the Crye one will be hard to beat.

I've been looking as well and they only come in Multicam, kinda sucks if it isn't what your running. I guess you could bleach then dye it, or paint it or something.

I'M sure at some point we will see a repro cover from TMC, Toy Soldier or the likes. Like you said the problem is if you don't have multicam gear there isn't much option but I think the Airframe helmets like most other would lend themselves well to a nice paint job. I'm thinking about getting one and just grabbing a Crye cover considering the price, and I can actually get one unlike the Ops Core fast base jump I want.

So I did some research the other night, and it seems more people are waiting for an airsoft version to come out, not just for the Airframe, but a similar one for the FAST Ballistic Helmet. Its a little too much for a helmet cover. http://www.first-spear.com/product.php?productid=17628

Hopefully by next spring we'll see something, I'm sure airsoft companies have been notified with requests already. But yeah, keep your eyes open, and if anyone sees anything, please post. Thanks.

For the FAST, just get the repro mesh covers for 2001s and mod it slightly. I did it, worked well.

Hey, I was actually thinking about doing that the other day, and you say it worked well, maybe I'll give it a try. Could you post a pic with it on the helmet if its not to much to ask. That would be great, Thanks!

That's the ebairsoft mesh cover in MC. I painted it orange as I intended to use my FAST for SAR instead of the crappy one they provide... but for insurance reasons, I can't use anything other that what we got issued :( (oh and I later removed the reflective tape with the APOS-blablabla, that was a placeholder until I got the actual tape they have on the other helmets).

That's a real Base Jump in M/L, by the way. Might fit differently with repros.

I basically cut around the rail, but you could also just remove the rails, put on the cover, then rescrew the rails over the cover. That'd be much more secure, actually.

I contacted crye. No response. No Canada shipping.

If you want a genuine Crye cover the best bet would be to give CTOMS a call as they are the official Crye distributor for Canada. If they can't get it (which I highly doubt but you never know) the next best option would be http://www.optactical.com/crpraico.html. They ship international and with usps.
