SVD replica scope
hello, i need a bit of help locating a replica POSP scope for my SVD. im not going to go real steel because the range is just too great for airsoft and i dont want to risk a BB destroying a 300$ scope.
so far all i could find was one at ehobby for 100$ which reviews say its not great. im looking for something realistic with 4x magnification at most. thanks for the help |
I wish I could help, but I really don't know much about replica Soviet-Russian scopes.
Here is me suggestion, if a BB-proof scope is what you want, get a REAL STEEL scope. I personally have a real deal EO-tech holographic scope, and when I fired my gbb Mk.23 (330fps) on it in point blank, the BB shattered while the glass didn't even had a single scratch! I don't know if there are gun shops in Montreal have Russian scopes, but here in Vancouver, the Reliable Guns have them. However they don't even have a online shop. Maybe you can try Ebay if you simply couldn't find Russian scopes in your town. |

I got my posp 4x26 400m svd scope from kalinka. It's a nice piece.

Saw this some time ago, hope it helps. I didn't have one so I am not sure if it is good. |

Watch out: the description says this scope is for an AK47, while it will attach to your SVD, it will sit higher than a real SVD scope and it could be rather uncomfortable to look trough.
I have been looking for a good, cheap SVD scope too, and sadly, they do not exist. The Chinese clones are all coming from the same factory and are all equally craptastic. The cheapest real scopes I have found are on: http://www.posp.ru/posp.html. I do not know if they are reliable, there is very little info about them. Another cheap source is the scope on: http://www.futong.com/catalog/item/7511691/7907012.htm. While reviews of their scopes in general seems to be that they are good for the price, I suspect the SVD scope is just a rebrand of the same old crappy Chinese scope. It would be great if anyone could confirm this. Also, you can check: http://www.eastwave.ca/products/opticsights.html. They are a Canadian distributor, and although their prices seem rather high, you will not have to pay custom import fees. [EDIT] I was checking stuff on WGC shop and I saw this in the new products list: http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/...Item&view=info. It's just been released, no review out yet. It has the potential to be much better than the Chinese scopes and at 163$ it is decently priced. Looks nice, but I would personally wait for review before buying. |
