These guns are so cheap why not just buy a brand new one?

Hectic January 13th, 2013 19:37

does he have the original box?
also a brand spankin new one is 99.95.

BennyBoy January 13th, 2013 19:45

Is he asking for 50 bucks and you pay for shipping? Still not worth it tbh for something worth about 100 brand new.

Hectic January 13th, 2013 20:04

also the externals are craptastic, shoots hard n str8 for a china gun but even the buffer tube is apparently plastic, id suggest u just get your parents to spend a cpl hundred bucks on a jg or somethin.

This guy isn't a retailer, so he wouldn't have the right paperwork. You're also looking a shitty gun. Get something worth buying. Airsoft is not a sport to cheap out on.

Hectic January 13th, 2013 22:07

like i said does he have the original packaging? If he has it amd the fps is labled clearly on the box it may get in but i doubt it, its not worth the hassel for a gun that will break quickly, u can buy a much beter gun for about what that will cost if u pay say 50 for the gun 50 for shipping, then ull pay like 50 for tax and duty and maybe more, just buy a jg/echo1 or even a cyma u will be much more satisfied.

Ricochet January 13th, 2013 22:14

As Hectic said, if all the original packaging and documentation is with it, and it meets all legal specifications it might make it. The risk however is high, and if it gets seized they may destroy it, without compensation to you or your friend. This is a bad idea for you to do things this way.

If that does not convince you, the shipping costs will be near or around the price of the gun. It would only be worth it if he's damn near giving it to you; like $20 or so, but then there still is the "huge" shipping risk. And if all goes well, and for some weird reason it does make, it make take months to get approved by the CBSA.

This 95% a bad idea... Buy within Canada, save yourself a headache. We do know what we are talking about.

Gotta be AVd for the info you want and in the AV section

Zack The Ripper January 13th, 2013 22:36

Dude, just invest in a new gun that you know works and that you won't have to worry about getting seized at the border. There are so many Canadian retailers with decent guns at decent prices. Stay away from Lancer Tactical stuff. Not to bash them, but they're more the type of rifle you buy your 14 year old brother who wants to do some plinking in the backyard, not something you would want to game.

if your set on getting it from your buddy id call the police/government/customs what ever it may be and ask what you need to ask

m1lk0r January 15th, 2013 10:19

Good luck, but I highly doubt it'll cross customs. As everyone stated, you'll have much better luck buying a new one. Or, buy one the ASC recommended Rifle. King Arms M4 Full Metal. Agian, good luck bud.
