AEG Wont cycle

I just received my new G&G GR16 CQW Rush, it came with a battery+charger. The battery being a nunchuck style 8.4v NiMh, and the charger a pretty standard wall plug charger (250Ma). I've had the battery plugged in 6-1/2 to 7 hrs and when I plugged it into my rifle and pulled the trigger all I got was an unsatisfying "click" sound as if the motor is pushing the gear teeth until they simply just lock against another tooth, then stopping.

From what I've already read, it's an issue with the battery/charger and not my rifle. The question is how do I tell which one is faulty.

Well the charger was craptastic right outta the box. Also alot of times the batteries that come with guns are so old they are also fizzled out of the box.
The fact its a nimh should mean it was beter but again cause it sat for so long it could be dead.
Grab a 9.6nimh and s decent smart charger or ask a friend for a good battery and test it befor buying stuff but most likely a battery and charger will fix you right up.

Yeah, I had already planned on buying a 9.6 and a smart charger, which I did today as well. I was hoping to maybe resell the charger/battery for a few dollars though. It also would have been nice to fire some shots off, it's my first rifle after all :( guess I'm stuck waiting a week or so for my new stuff to come in.

Could also be a motor height issue. Best bet is to test the voltage of the battery first, if you have a voltmeter that you can use of course. If the voltage of the battery is higher than it's rated voltage, then it should be good to go, issue isn't battery. Unless you've got a very strong spring of course...
