Help - Fixing mid cap mags

My mags are miss feeding every 3-4 bbs and sometimes 2-3 consecutively…
Help a newbie out, any ways I can fix these without having to buy more mags?

Thanks in advance!

Try cleaning them. Also maybe add about half second spray of silicone oil. Then using your barrel cleaning rod push down the spring a couple of times

Correction, quarter second spray. Do not use a lot

Alternatively, you can open them up, clean the BB track and swab it lightly with a cloth and a drop or two of silicon oil. Then stretch the spring a little bit.

If you don't want to open, then I also have a jar of BB's that I have coated in silicon oil. (Separate loader as well)
Load and unload mags a few times. DO NOT SHOOT THESE BB'S. I'll add a couple more drops and swish them around every other mag.

If you can't open them up, another method is:

Put 100 bb's in a plastic bag
Add a few drops of silicon oil to the bag
Mix it up
Load those bb's into the magazine
Eject them back into the bag.
Load them again.
Eject them again.
Load Fresh BB's.
Test in your gun.

Do I hear an echo?

Noone askes the obvious questoon. what bbs are you using?
I know a guy who buys canadian tire and walmart bbs (as much as i ask/tell him not to) and none of his midcaps will feed em properly. He keeps tryin to insists mid caps have crazy feeding issues thats why he uses hicaps. But we discovered if he uses bastards or madbulls they feed fine lol.
Otherwise yes the above methods. Also sink full of warm soapy watter slosh em round push the spring with the rod a few times. Rinse em all good lil bit of oil on some bbs and cycle em through the mag and yer all set.

When I had this problem in my RS T56-1 the experienced guys I played with said you should just need to file the moving part that keeps the bb's in the mag a little bit, something about it not being opened fully by the feed nozzle but I didn't get time to try it.

Obviously try this AFTER making sure the internals are clean, use good bb's, check the spring strength (stretch it out a little) and adding a little lube.

If you don't have a separate loader just load 3 bb's into the mag and spray those bb's with silicone and load the remaining bb's from your loader. It will push all the silicone bb's through and you don't have to worry about a loader full of oil.
