Mid-cap magazines that fit JG416?!!
 

Hey guys, I recently bought a JG 416 airsoft gun, and am having a hard time finding magazines that fit right. I looked around and couldn't find any definite answers on what mags will fit this gun properly. I ordered two different JG M4 hicap mags and they are both way to tight in the magwell. I have to forse them in and out with a lot of effort. I know the magwell is different in the 416 and is not the same as m4 and m16 ones, even though many sights claim they are. So I'm wondering if anyone has this gun and has any recommendations of some good quality mid caps that fit the JG416 without modification?

Maybe... Try filing the mag well?

well I may, but I would rather just find some good mags that fit before I do that as a last resort. I don't mind if they are a bit tight, as long as im not using all my strength to pry them out. I called Toronto airsoft and he tested a cyma mag in a JG416 for me and said it worked, although it was still tight. Are these brands of mags any good?

First question. Is it a metal or plastic 416?
Cause i have 2 plastic jg 416's and prety much all the m4 mags i own fit. But i mostly use MAG brand mags.
If its a metal 416 and your having fitment issues with alot of tyoes of mags its likely a bad casting of the magwell and some filing will be needed.

I own a metal JG 416, MAG brand fits without any issue or mods.

Know if any Canadian retailers sell MAG brand mags? I looked around and couldn't find any, trying to avoid paying huge shipping charges from the US.

Try contacting them to see when they may get more. Or run VN mags (i love VN mags easier to go prone and such)
