G&G 1911 x-treme downgrade

Hi everyone, I won a G&G 1911 pistol in a game recently. On the Web, stated fps for this co2 pistol is usually around 450-510 with .20 BBs . Is there a way to lower the fps of this pistol under or around 350? I'm a total noob about pistols and my Google searches gave me info about npas, but never for the g&g...

Generally no. With cheaper (and usually CO2) pistols there are not usually replaceable parts, or upgrades/downgrades for them. The only thing I could suggest is weakening/shortening the hammer spring, but other than that there's not much you can do.

TheHappy1, are you referring to the G&G Xtreme45?

If so, I also own one of these pistols currently, and previously wondered the same thing. Upon stripping it down, there is a hammer spring that you should be able to lighten via replacement. Alternatively, the bottom insert/guide for the hammer spring could also be swapped out for something with more depth so it doesn't put as much tension on the spring when it is assembled/compressed.

I never had much inclination to follow through on modifying after I stripped it down, though, as it shot around 375 out of the box. So unfortunately I can't provide you with any exact adjustment information.

Chrony it first. It may not shoot so high.
Then your option is a spring shortening either by cutting the spring or shorthening whatever the spring rests on to give it tension.
How much to shorten it? Who knows. Do it a lil at a time and test till you hit your goal. Only downside it if its too short it may not activate the valve at all.

I'll try the chrony thing first, knowing that it might be under 400 fps makes me happy! :-D
