VSR-10 G-Spec hopup problem

Alright, so I just got my vsr brand new in box. I get to the field, start shooting... .20 drops... oh wait hopup. adjust a little, bb drops... adjust again bb still drops... anyways I did that until the hopup was cranked to the max and still the bbs drop instead of going up or keep a somewhat steady line. I tried with some .25 and still same thing...

Anyone has an idea ?
Just to compare, my brand new ak spetsnaz shoots way farther.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same sniper rifle in stock form , shot about 500 rds so far, not real impressed with the hop-up, mine dose work (.020 best), but I need to silicone oil it more than any other air soft I know of.

remove the action from the stock, remove the Bolt/air cylinder out of the receiver, with a flash light, look down the barrel, move your hop-up, should see the little rubber nub in there getting lower or moving back up into the barrel, give a good cleaning, re oil, try again.....

hope this helps

Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure I want to take it appart myself yet. Just in case I decide to do it, On which side do I need to look for the hopup ? from the trigger side or from the end of the barrel ?

Thanks for your help.

sounds like the bucking is missing.

Its brand new in box. Although I have the bad luck of receiving lemons... It happens to me all the time so I wouldnt be surprised if the bucking would be missing. My car is a lemon my old CRT was a lemon... anyways I guess I'll have to open it and see for myself and order the part that is missing or broken... if that's possible.

Thanks for the replies, if anyone has something else that would come in mind, let me know.

you can see it best from the trigger end, it is approx 1/2 inch inside barrel from were your mag feed inserts.

I completely took apart the gun and the hopup mechanism is fine, the bucking is fine too. The only thing I can think of is, like Fox pointed out at this weekend's game, that the rubber might be too smooth since it is new... I will probably need to use it alot for the rubber to be break in ... I dont know if it makes any sense, but I think it could be true.
