looking for advice / input. Help the newb

Ok so I've been doing some research on guns. At this point I'm starting to learn the different qualities in gun manufactures. Looking at G&G just for the fact it seems easier to get a hold of and upgrade.
Looking for some practical advice / reviews before I dish out my hard earned
G&G TR16 R4 Commando Combo AEG
G&G GR16 CQW Rush
G&P Magpul CQB MOE AEG (on sale)
Socom Gear - PWS MK112
Classic Army M4a1 RAS
Echo1 SR25K SE

You should be posting this in the Newbie Tank; you'd get a lot more help in there.

No problem. (;
Also, try and get AV'ed as soon as possible - tons of affordable AEGs in the classifieds. I honestly wish I was AV'ed before buying my first rifle (G&G Raider-L, $205) because I just recently bought a full metal Daniel Defense SOPMOD M4 for only $280... With about that much money put into it for internals and accessories.

Idk who oem's that socom gear gun but on that list i would stick to the G&G, G&P or the classic army. Another good brand not represented on your list is VFC. IMO none of those would necessarily be a bad choice as long as they don't have a blowback system. Just make sure you get one with a metal receiver.

There's no "best gun" in that list so it very much boils down to personal preference. Most people would probably say G&P is the better manufacturer, but the other two aren't bad either. The guns listed have a variety of barrel lengths, thats something to consider when choosing between them i.e. where will you be playing and how will you be using it.

All of them have "marui compatible" internals which are decent out of the box so IMO consider externals. A lot of people go for the M4 A1 and chose to customize it themselves. Nothing wrong with that route but is can get pricey if you are replacing a bunch externals e.g. rail systems. Try to get something as close to what you want externally it will save you some dough if you chose to customize it in future.

Personally my choice from that list would be the G&P Magpul CQB MOE. I've had 3 G&P M4's and they have all been very reliable. My personal experience with Classic Army and G&G have been meh, some good and some bad. And I personally wouldn't bother with Echo1 or Socom Gear just based on reviews.

My G&P stripped its pinion gear first game I used it, otherwise it is a beautiful piece. As a newbie starting, and in my experience, I would recommend either a VFC or one of those G&G's as they will work out of the box for you with less risk of failure.

Last I heard/ read about Socom Gear is that their PWS line is OEM'd by G&G.
