Real Sword m4/m16 GBBR (lack of inner barrel?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtFEA-o7BQI
http://blog.airsoftcommunity.de/iwa-...ns-innerbarrel Finally, something solid about their m4 gbbr line. No inner barrel? Im guessing this means no more inner n outter barrel. Just A barrel? What do you guys think? edit: in german, but a lot of close ups https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xM-1dsf_NHI |
That long one she picked up is sexy as fuck, but the no inner/outer thing is real ATF bait
|
I'm just glad another manufacturer is bringing an M4/Armalite to market. That gun is severely lacking in any kind of airsoft form.

Is it any good to not have an inner barrel anymore ? That looks like an aftermarket nightmare... I hope the barrel will not be too expensive if it needs to be changed due to wearing...
|
Is these are anything like their AKs, I'll love em but many won't like real or slightly over real weights.
I'm sure Kingsix can back me up on the RS type 56 weight. |
I heard that it has to be lubricated with fish oil because the internals don't like silicon oils and greases.
|
I wonder if they are blowback operated or Direct impingerment opereated.

Notice how they are really vague on this. This 'update' contained no new information than what we knew two-three years ago. The 6 months release date is promising but I won't hold my breath.
The lack of Inner barrel would be beneficial in that it eliminate inner barrel off center from the outer barrel. It would NOT surprise me if they chose to do something similiar to a PTW style hopup system though through the use of heavy machining, you could make it still accept AEG bucking (essentially an outer and inner barrel fused together and that's it) |
if they say they will use military spec materials, then a hardened steel barrel would out last any airsoft barrel on the market.
a solid one piece barrel would be more then welcomed by me. the only thing I can see possibly wearing the barrels would be using silica BBs. if a RS barrel can go Athrough thousands of rounds of brass, plastic BBs would be nothing. what I want to see is performance. we already have 3 systems out there (a couple being a reworking of the WA design), and they all have performance issues. |
