Broken part on KJW KP-02 hop-up

Okay so I was opening up my P229 and I ended up breaking off a nub/tab on the side of the hop-up unit. Without checking yet (it's like 3am, I can't exactly fire around right now), does anyone know if it's necessary to replace the shell or not?
