Fitting a 9.6v Battery in a Sig 552 Cheek rest

Is fitting a battery in a sig cheek rest possible, I would like to fit a large 9.6v battery in the cheek rest/piece on the stock

Is that part made for that purpose, or is it just cosmetics?

if there is any way of making it into some sort of housing for a 9.6v battery?

any help is appreciated

You can get a custom 9.6v 1100mah NIMH Battery from www.onlybatterypacks.com that fits inside the handguard.

with a 9.6v 1100mah NIMH Battery in the handguard will make the front heavier than it already is, i'm planning on putting it in a battery bag and attaching it on the side of the stock.

there already is a battery bag, but due to cosmetics it has to be concealed with in the cheek piece, so battery bag is not an option ether is the one that fits in the hanguard

Just a warning, The cells they sell @ that website are LOW QUALITY!

I've gone through a couple batteries made by them and they all suck ass.

Stick to Sanyo and/or "Nuclear Power" brand cells, they are by far, the BEST.
