KJW 1911 Using Lots of Gas
So I bought this KJW 1911 MEU C02 version about a year ago, and recently I bought some KJW green gas mags for it. On C02 this thing could shoot 2-3 full mags worth of bb's, but on green gas mags it shot about 7-9 bb's before running out of gas. I filled it with propane for 4-5 seconds. The plume of gas coming out of the barrel was large, and some gas also came out of the back and sides of the slide.
A google search told me it may be a broken/faulty piston head, so I ordered one of those. I dropped that into my gun today, but I'm getting very minimal increase in performance, at about 12-14 per gas fill. During the field strip, I found nothing else that appeared to be broken, and all 5 of my magazines have the same issue, so I know its the gun thats the problem.
Is it because I'm not filling the mags long enough? Any other parts that might be causing this problem? Using propane in a C02 gun (it cycles and kicks fine though)? Or are 1911's and their small magazines are just naturally like this?
Any help would be appreciated :)
