Aps asr 114 Silver Edge Problems and requesting help.

Hey guys new to this forum and airsoft. I bought a gun online and was shipped not sure if the gun was made this way or was damaged in shipping. The problems im having with the gun are very minor but they are technically for a newbie. 1. the latch cover is very loose. Minor movement will cause the latch to open. 2. the bolt catch doesn't function as properly, from what I inspected from the gun the bolt catch is not pushed far enough for it to catch. (this is looking in the mag weld). I love my gun so these are minor but are major to me. Any ideas. Thank you.

...latch cover? I feel like an idiot for this, but I have no idea what you mean by that. As for the bolt catch, I understand those can be kinda wonky on airsoft guns. The one on my APS Guardian Match works, make sure you're pressing it right (push on the lower part to activate it with the charging handle held back, not the serrated button part).

now i would sound stupid for asking but is that how it suppose to work? i thought it was suppose to automatically catch. Well latch cover may not be the right term, its the dust cover. my asr after one week of being in a bag and firing couple times the starting to fall apart lol.
