WE Scar not catching bolt

So I have a WE Scar, and I have the problem with it not catching the bolt consistently.

I have shimmed the bolt catch which makes it more often, but I still get it firing blanks and not catching. My bolt and bolt catch are basically brand new so they haven't been "rounded". There is not a lot of wobble in the mags so usually the mags are well seated. I get the bolt not catching even when I smack the mags up. Ill fire one to three shots and THEN it will catch.

I was thinking that maybe a real steel magazine catch would fix this issue? I'm not sure. Which is why I'm here asking for help or ideas on how to fix this. I don't want temporary fixes that will break in the field, I want something that is lasting and will fix this issue.

SCAR problem again?

It could be your magazine catch on the magazine, maybe it's worn out? Most likely a combination.. of magazine and the bolt catch.

Hmm... could try this

Do those add the extra 1-2mm in height needed? Ive looked up some reviews and the majority of people say they don't do anything and are just replacement parts.

And yup, this scar has been a ton of problems...thankfully its just this gremlin remaining...I hope.

Did you dry shimming the magazines?

You know the bottom plate where you have the single screw.

Try to add a few spacers beneath on there, then screw it on and see if that helps. There was a guide somewhere.

Screw -> Plate -> Spacer -> internal
