Inspired by Snake's M4
 

Truly in love with Snake's M4 in the MGS4 trailer, I've decided to build an airsoft version myself. However I cannot identify all of the gadgets he has on his M4 (or the 'soldier' s M4, because Snake just jacked it from him, didn't he?), so anyone who's into airsoft or into real guns and stuff can help me out here. This is what I've got so far:

==Gun==
-Colt M4 RIS or Knights SR-16 RIS (consider the Delta ring on it)

==Accessories==
-EOtech holosight (Model 552 or whatever. Looks like the ones that uses AA battery because it seems longer)

-Surefire Weaponlight (probably the M96 series. With Throw-Lever Mount)

-Phantom flashhider

-flipup front and rear sights (need description on this one)

-Rail cover (sand / OD. On the left side rail while the surefire light is on the right)

-LE stock (sand / OD)

-Vertical grip (sand / OD)

-(I'm pretty sure the handle is also either sand / OD colour. You can see it when he first pulls out the magazine)

-Also the M203 grenade launcher he later replaces the vertical grip with. But it'll be a too expensive ($200><) addon!

Well that's all I have (after inspecting the trailer over and over again). It'll be very help if you guys can point out anymore significant features found on the gun (or correct/comment on any items listed above). I'll post some pics up here right away when I get it done (probably sometimes in Christmas, who knows). Anyway, have fun and keep it bumped~~! :smile:

ya that is true. He's not as badass as before. Just love his gears, that's all :-o (used to dream about his socom from MGS1... lost interest after playing with my friend's TM SOCOM NBB kit :sad: )

The snazzy delta ring indicates it's a Knight's Armament FF RAS.

The flip-up sights front and rear are PRI and what appears to be an ARMS #40L respectively.

EOTech is the 550 AA model, assuming since he's so hardcore he's probably going to have NVG compatibility.

Surefire is M962, minus the UM07 tailcap for some other Z49 press-button tailcap.

Pistol grip is tan and stock A2 configuration. VFG is tan, KAC pattern.

Couldn't find a pic with the rail cover on the left rail though.

Without pics of the left-hand side of the lower and upper receivers, I can't tell you what the make of the receiver is. Could be Colt, could be KAC. Then again, it could also be Bushmaster, RRA, or even Norinco.

I still gotta figure how to hide a battery in the RAS (now that its been confirmed)... :? ><

Here comes another problem:

Say I have a Colt or aKnight (brand doesn't matter since we cannot tell from the pictures anyway)M4 with FF RAS and a retractable LE stock. How do I hide the battery? I know my options are

-Battery pack (like the TM RIS M4) on the top rail (or any rail)
-full stock (like TM SR-16)
-battery mag (like the G&P or ICS M4 with this 'mag-clip' liked thingy hanging beside the actual mag)

but other than that, what other options do I have? I really want to know how people are able to completey hide their batteries :?

Battery Sling

Since I'm a total geek, the switch, at least from the screenshots, is an SW02 tailcap. Those are harder to find these days because they aren't listed on SureFire's site anymore (not a regular production item anymore, from what I gather).

Hideo Kojima (mg creator) plays airsoft.There is a reference made in mgs2 where a little figure of raven starts shooting 6mm whites at you.

looks like a solid A2 style front HB may be in order as well...

battery sling like Eddie said is probably best idea... cool project actually.

You wonder what's revolver ocelot age? Knowing that Snake is old.. lol
