ICS M4 Hop / after market barrel
 

Hi fellow ICS M4 users,

I have a plastic Hop ICS unit and I want to install the MK18 rail / barrel on the rifle. I purchased a no name brand BIG DRAGON MK18 outer barrel - and the plastic hop unit seems to slide in fine without thinning the wings. However, it doesn't slide all the way in, just stops halfway.

New barrel needed or modification needed?

Ideas?

Hey, I have an IcS m4 (221). The hop up unit is proprietary along with pistol grip which is why you find yourself in your current predicament. If you have another hop up unit for m4 try that with the mk18 barrel. It might work and you can test to make sure you don't have compression issues with air nozzle and different hop up unit. I have not tested this as I use the standard IcS outer barrel.

I have since then given up on the outer barrel. :(
