M4A1 help
 

My M4A1's stock plastic body (the bit around where the hop up adjustment is) broke where the two tabs go into it there for the whole upper assembly flops down and essentially makes it usesless. I live in the vancouver area and was wondering you any of you have a tokyo marui M4A1 carbine and have had this problem, and more importantly where is the best price to get a metal replacement for the original?

You need to check the Canadian Retailers. This is a common problem with M4's.

If your short on cash ...maybe disassemble and 2 part epoxy from the back. Build up the area with enough clearance to strengthen the area.? Thats what id go for first , although metal is in my future.

but your not gonna destroy anything thats not already done.
Since your reciever tabs are broken, its dollar value is that of a bag of chips, so its not the end of the world if epoxy doesnt workand you end up making things worse....because the only thing of value in the reciever area is the mechbox.....and even if you get epoxy everywhere, you can just bust things apart and go metal.
though, i would advise against it.

Yeah I stay away from epoxy. If something goesnt fit dont make it in some cases

I was wondering if anyone owns an M4A1 and has had the same problem with the plastic housing breaking, and bought an after market metal one. Does it help with the barrel wobble? And also i am planning on running a large battery (8.4) at 2400mah and butterflying it in my M4A1. Whats the best battery size wise to do so in an M4A1?

You can't use a butterfly made out of sub-c cells, it just won't fit. Butterfly batteries are made out of A cells; largest NiCad is 1700mAh, largest NiMH is 2500mAh. Use whichever is more easily available, performance will be about equal.
