M-14 9.6 Battery?

Been looking for a 9.6 Batt for the M14 and i cant seem to find one. Many claim that the Mauri M14 cannot hold 9.6 batts but I was hopping that maybe some had seen a custom one somewhere.

I came across a review of the M14 from airsoftextreme.com saying:
Quote:

The gun can only fit an 8.4v standard large battery or one of AEX's custom 9.6v 1700 custom large batteries that we use for AK-47's
I looked it up and found this:

Anyways, Im thinking about ordering one to see if it will fit. But i just wanted to hit up the community with this before i did, to see if anyone had any better idea's

thanks

Buy yourself a G&G M14 and you'll have no problems to fit a 9.6V subC battery pack. It's true, TM can't take big ones! See you on the field bud.

I am shooting 440 fps right now on TM m14 with 8.4v no problem at all. good ROF on auto too.

But you can fit a 9.6v in if you take the butt plate off and put the battery. That door is just too small to be able to hook up the connector otherwise.

But like I mentioned no real need for a 9.6

Bruce- I Hate you :D

Blastyman- good idea by removing the butt plate completely and leaving the batt in i wont have to ever remove it. I am also running a large 8.4v on my M14 aswell and i find its quite a tight fit, its shooting roughly 430 FPS but i wanted to give it a 9.6 to get the BB off faster, i dont like the delay between the trigger and shot. Its not for rate of fire as i shoot in Semi only.

thanks

You might want to get a battery builder (I strongly suggest www.unipros.com, and no, I'm not paid by them or anything) to build you a pack like that Airsoft Extreme one you linked. The advantage over buying from AEX is better capacity (2000 or 2200mAh as on the site) and probably cheaper if you choose cheap cells.

Yeah I only shoot semi too but I mentioned the ROF as indication of how strong the 8.4 seemed.

Mine seems to shoot very quick on semi still. Maybe your gearbox is shimmed a tad tight.

But as Harley said getting one built locally is probably the cheapest.

Yeah i guess your right, mine shoots fairly fast also.

I need to get a new Batt for my M14 either way, i just thought that getting a 9.6 instead of a 8.4 would be more useful.

thanks for your input guys.
