KJW MK1 CARBINE

ok i have a KJW MK1 Carbine of one of my friends. the internals went all to hell. can i get a kjw mk1 pistol and use the pistol grip and internals to replace the old ones?? they look very simliar but i wanted to make sure.

thanks for the info!!!

Yes. The differences are all in the barrel, and the front of the lower reciever.
(there's a screw hole to allow the front grip to be put on).

Internally they're identical, unless KJW put a different hammer/valve setup to compensate for the longer barrel, but I somehow doubt it'd be a problem.

They even send the same manual for both guns.

Also, the pistol grips from the Mk.1 pistol don't have a stock attached to them, but that's pretty obvious...

What's the matter with the gun anyhow?

Not to mention that the Mk. 1 Carbine has the 3/8th " Dovetail on the top whereas the pistol does not..

But otherwise they should (like mystery has stated) be identical.. The little extra pamphlet for the Mk. 1 parts just lists the extra parts (foregrip, screws for said item, long barrel, different muzzle from what I can tell, and the upper reciever)

But yeah: What did you do to the gun to fubar it up? It's a pretty hard gun to screw up (unless you tried getting the trigger mechanism out)

Whoops - you're totally right! I remember the dovetail...

Anyhow - if you've gone and over-screwed the hop-up adjuster, it's probably rattling around inside the gun still.

If the hop-up is busted (it's plastic when you get it)... you could probably source a metal hop-up unit.

If it's something else, you might just carefully take it all apart, and use the manual and see if putting it back together helps - there's really not that many parts to break inside it - and I hear that they last a LONG time before wear and tear get to them.

So, how long before the hop-up unit or sleeve goes to hell? And where can I find a metal hop-up unit btw.

Thanks.

ok well i knew about the dove tail im using the original from the carbine i just need the pistol grip and internals. yeah it already has a metal hopup and tighbore in it. the action is messed up and the trigger mech wont catch the fireing mech.

thanks
