Stock performance is about the same as any other TM Gun.

Creaks a lot.

It's long.

Look what I found w/30 seconds of searching Yahoo!

ok well i own a TM G3-SG1 and i love the thing to death. yes it maybe be long for indoors (i dont much care i can shot accross our teams indoor feild without have to adjust for distance). it can be creeky but not has bad as must ppl say it does just to twist the damn thing in your hands. the bi-pod is alright its great for when u need a platform for aimming and as a support weapon (i love the 550 round hi-caps). the gun is a great gun stock i dont right now see any need to upgrades aside from a inner barrel, it shoots about 280-290 i think and if u want a gun that can be used as a sniper/assult/support the SG1 meets those for me. the only down side is not many rice parts compared to the M4/16 class, when you do put a metal body on it my god is it heavy, its not a very sling friendly gun from what i've read yet to test it myself but in my opioin i give a 8 outa 10 stars it meets what i want to do its something different from the 100's of M4's and really great gun stock.

if you like you should read the thread i started way back and read what ppl said about the gun http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=14471

Of all my guns my G3 SG-1 is my favourite gun for outdoors. It's too hot to play indoors with.

much better guns these days. its long and creaky like stated above. Its not the kind gun you want to drop.

Take into account I have never played a game, ever, bought my stuff at the end of the last season and waiting for the LZ here in Ottawa to open up.

I have mine and it does creak (front grip and stock a little) but I reduced the front creak by stuffing in some cloth, read to do that on one of the reviews. When I shake it, it rattles a little, the front sight cant be tightened enough to make it rattle proof, the bipod rattles (I took it off for the time being) but can be tightened to stop rattling but it losens quickly enough when I'm handling it in my basement so I can only image how easily it will losen in the field. Some people I've talked to hate it, most love it and like Lisa its their favorite gun.

Screw this typical TM hunk-o-plastic, now that we know a full metal one is coming, do the smart thing a buy the CA one.

I have an SG1, and I too like it a lot. The only thing that bothers me is that the flash hider and the bipod needs regular tightening, and the minor creaking. There is a bit of barrel wobble, but you can fix that by removing the other barrel and stuffing the outer barrel and the inner barrel with paper. It's reliable, has a good rate of fire, and it's fairly accurate for a stock gun.
I bought mine used and in great shape, so I don't mind paying for a non-metal body gun.

Double sided tape on the inside of the handguard got rid of most of the creaking and felt more solid. But it was impossible to take the handguard off after than :D .
