C4 masks

I recently purchased a C4 at a surplus store and I was wondering if it would offer suitable eye protection. Does anyone here know?

Not rated for airsoft.
Most important; try wearing one for anything more than 5 minutes at a game... I swear most folks regret it deeply. Do you like portable head-saunas and restricted breathing? I understand some people are into that kind of thing.

Do yourself a huge favor and only use recommended equipment?

no, and you will seriously regret running around in one.

Sorry to ruin the vibe here but what exactly is a C4?

Use google...

He's talking about goggles made from a hardened form of C4 explosive. Once C4 hardens, it has the toughness of about 1/4" aluminum, and is resistant to most forms of impact. It will not detonate without an electrical charge, so I would advise against using a JT goggle fan (which is battery powered), or playing during an electrical storm. Definately stay inside and out of the way of sunspots. Enjoy....

Wow this mask looks something like a emoticon.

It's airsoft resistant... and it don't fog.

This is what we have. It's the most confortable gas mask I ever used. With both filters in place, I can run and breath as if I had nothing on my face. The downside is that the helmet don't fit perfecly and I can't aim very well with the P90, or any other rifle.

But it does look cool for pictures.

Looks nice Fox, but it would not be allowed at most fields I know because there are large gaps.

This is a CF NBCW C4 mask with c7 canister

that thing looks beatuiful...seriously if I had an extra X amount of dollars....

The convex eyeglass really makes it look buggy. Would that even increase FOV? Seems like all it would do is distort your view...

Aper April 8th, 2006 23:36

The C4 gas mask I own in the CF isn't that bad. There is no chances of fogging, and the "bubbly" shaped glasses doesn't distort your view at all. I don't know if these are ballistic glasses but I wouldn't try. Like previously said, playing a game with this on your face with make you running for fresh air, unless you play without a C7 filter on, but even then I can't tell you. For those who did the gas chamber during basic training with this on your face while making PT knows how F***** up it is not to be able to take the mask off even if you're choking. Imagine on the field when BBs are flying, and you can't take the mask off ...

By the way, mine came with a used C7 filter. Is it safe to breath through?
