KSC G17metal Slide kit
 

*** before I get shot by the mods again, I tired the search feature twice, and both times the page failed to load ***

I just recieved my metal slide upgrade for the KSC G17. However it came with no instuctions. Using what little gunsmithing I know,I think I got everything in the right place (the 2 small springs through me for a bit).

However, now that it is assembled, the slide fails to recycle completely. It tends to go all the way back, and not quite 1/3 of the way back to the home position. My assumption is I need to regrease the slide unit.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find instructions for the upgrade, to confirm i did put everything together right, or has ideas on why I do not get the complete cycle.

Looks like the search page may of been a glitch. Found 1 posible solution - need to add more grease. Would still be interested in instructions on the upgrade to ensure it was done properly. thanks

Sounds like you need an enhanced recoil spring (I know it says Glock 18C but will work with your gun). When I upgraded from a plastic to metal slide, I had to upgrade the recoil spring to get the thing to cycle properly too.

Thanks for the suggestion Colin. The kit I recieved did come with a spring upgrade as well. I did the regrease/lube thing, and all seems fine now. However I will consider the spring upgrade as well.
