Hello all! Just need alittle help.

Well I just recieved my p226 did some upgrades to it: Inner barrel, Gas nozzle.

Now I cannot place the slide flushly into the frame. Its like the Recoil guide rod is not going to its designated spot.
Please someone help me.

You have no manner of luck, dude!!

Are you sure the guide is oriented top-to-bottom in the right position?

Try assembling the slide to the frame when the gun is upside down (slide on bottom, frame on top). I've had to do it on some guns.

Lol. After seeing all the problems with the KJ, I think I'm going to buy the TM one instead, and upgrade to a FMU when the frame breaks.

I know!!! I HAVE NO luck whatsoever!!!! This is so painfull....

Tried your method and no go.... I seriously think this gun is out to get me... I did everything correctly...

Just calm down a bit and install the stock spring guide as a test and see how well it goes.

I tried that also... and no go... everything is stock except the gas nozzle and the tightbore..

Thanks MC for your helps!

Gas guns can be frustrating. I could probably get in no-time, but you're not here, LOL!!

It's probably the slide takedown lever not being in "exactly" the right position during reassembly. I had that issue with a M8000 Cougar and it was frustaring as hell. I eventually got it, but I invented a whole string of new curses!!

stokes June 24th, 2006 01:11

lol! I think I invented some too hahaha.... damn it. I seriously cant see anything wrong... Wish I had your brain right now brad lol... :-P

OMG!!! I think I got it!!!!! PERSERVERANCE really pays off.... BRAD you were right again! llol!!!! It was the slide release lever!

Stupid picky slide release lever! I hate you!

Here are some pics of the finished product.
