KSC MK23 frame

hey everyone, i did some searching on the KSC mk23 Socom, and in terms of reviews and general forum questions i havent really found the answer to the build of the frame. i was just wondering if the MK23 HW is the same metal injected ABS as the KSC G19 / 23f, i have a G23f and i really like that sturdy feel and i was hopeing the mk23 is made the same.

there are 3 versions, you can find all of them on wgc the first two (proto type V.1, and the mk23 vII) are made of the abs similar to most tm/ksc gbb's

The 2005 version however, is definitly made of the HW material that you have refered to.
unfourtuinitly, they weak recoil spring wasnt resolved, and there is a faulty part #66 (if i remember correct)

thanks alot for the info, that definatly helped. i was leaning toward the 2005 version, that just clinched it. i read about part 66 and the recoil spring, but i plan on upgrading it anyway.

You'll love this gun. Its a deagle of its own kind.

The hammer spring wont need any upgrade, it wastes nuff gas as is.
The slide catch is a gamble. Some people say it breaks easily, most people have no problems with it.

Before i forget, you gotta try shooting this gun with gloves on! (hence the ginormious trigger guard)
As a result; unless you got big paws, you wont be able to rest your finger on the guard.

Part 66 can be easly solved with the guader spring upgrade that included the part 66. There is a good reason for weak recoil, as a faithfull copy of the real steel, it sports a dual recoil buffering spring which is meant to reduce recoil to upgrade the accuracy. There is 2 frame actually one is the the hard kick which is light and there is the heavy weight which is about 25% heavier than the regular one.In overhall, its quite beafy and heavy.

From my experience that I had custom full metal ksc hw mk.23 2005 version the slide catch is very easy to break once you have propane and springs upgraded.

thanks for the help guys, so far parts of concern are the slide catch (#52) and part #66. is there any sites that sell metal slide catches. i was looking WGC for upgraded recoil springs and slide catches but cant seem to find any. i want to cover my bases befor i buy this gun, just so i dont get boned.

Yuu August 27th, 2006 14:08

For the slide catch if you have the money you could get order from Canadian Firearm retailer for the real Mk.23 slide catch, it might fit. But only do it if you have the money.

i have the KSC HW hardkick 05 version, and have been running it on propane with no problems whatsoever.

the only beef i had, is that the recoil spring was very week and the hammer spring could have used a little more power.

but all that was solved with a quick order to ASC Armoury,

http://www.ascarmoury.com/product_in...roducts_id=256

thats exactly what you need, the recoil springi fit mine perfectly with no modifications needed, and it made it much better.

i had also cut off a small piece of the hi-capa hammer spring, about 1/2 cm and put that infront of the MK23 hammer spring, and that made it better too.

and so far i have had no problems with the gun at all, maybe im just lucky.

anyways its a great gun, and if you want a sweet holster get a safariland 6004 holster for it, i got one and its the best holster i have ever seen in my life.
