MP5 Hop-Up Compatibility? FOUND THX 2 Colin_S!!

Well, the new B&T requires it's own special hop-up & I got lucky thanks to Colin_S!

I've owned/own a new and old version CA MP5.

The new one has it's own deal. However, he body appears to still have all the same notches as the the old one. An old hop up LOOKS and only LOOKS, as far as I can tell, like it would fit on there from my memory of the old one.

If you're doing a body swap, doesn't the new hop-up unit come along with the CA B&T body? The new CA ones are a lot better, so why not use it if you can or get it if you don't have it.

I didn't get a hop up unit when I bought my CA B&T body, so hopefully I can get one somewhere.

Well I'm glad to help, picked up the wrong hopup unit for my friend's MP5. :)

The B&T CA MP5 receiver uses a new hop up mech that's better than the stock TM model. Unfortunately it's not compatible with TM plastic or CA first gen MP5 receivers. The hopup unit is adjusted through the bullet empty chamber (not sure what it's called, where the bullet casing is suppose to be ejected), kinda like with the G36C.

I picked up a CA rev2 hopup unit for my friend's TM MP5 without knowing this compatibility issue, he couldn't use it so I sold it to aZn_triXta07. Tlak about good timing. ;)
