Ok, I don't know if anyone else is peeved by this but it slows the forums down when enough people do it. If you can avoid it please remove the pictures from your quote so that I don't have to see it twice (or three times or more) and the thread loads faster. I think it would just be a good rule of thumb to follow.

From a technical standpoint, if it's the same image from the same source, all instances of the image will load simultaneously -- so there's no speedup, bandwidth usage differences (except for the handful of bytes that feed the IMG tag and URL), etc. Just less scrolling when you go down the page.

Ok fine, maybe it wouldn't affect the loading of threads but it would make things considerably easier to read.

No, I am either on a multiple DSL connection at work or my 5mb dsl at home, I just find it really really annoying!
