AK Butt Plate

Hey Guys

I own two TM ak 47's and I keep losing the butt plates off of them. I have looked on wgc(tm butt plates) but they never seem to have them in stock.

Is there an after market company that makes a butt plate to fit the tm ak47 ?

Thanks

If you want an original, not aftermarket:

Looks like they have it in stock.

That problem is why I've taken to taping the plate on. One strip of tape, around the edge of the stock.

Crash,

Welcome to the club brother. They fall off AK74's also. Mine feel off in the second game.

Electrician tape to hold in place and not leave glue residue. Or buy a cheekpad that velcro's over. I'm looking for one. Of course there's always Duct tape, which is the answer to all problems in the universe. Just ask Red Green. See you soon.

Xtreme Tactics (under the Canadian Retailers bar) has them in stock. They are Classic Army, but I can't tell the difference.

Crappy black duct tape from Dollarama held mine on just fine, and its not got the same holding power and so does not really leave a lot of residue.

I put on a woodkit now though, and that issue is gone.

i had taken to just taping the battery in during games, leaving the buttplate off altogether... then the various stock kits arrived and solved all the problems =)

Thanks for all the input and I will go out and buy some tape directly. Either that or order two dozen butt plates hehe.

Cheers

Haha or you could take sometihng like a bag (nothing to big) and put it over the butt plate really hard so it cant move and tape it..

Why would that be better than just tape right on the plate?

Do you even own an airsoft gun? :P

Friend of mine used a string to secure the butt plate. He put the string around battery wiring and through the butt plate. It will only work with TM guns thought.

King Arms has a stock, grip and foregrip set, the stock in question uses two screws to secure the butt plate on- lets see that fall off :)

Now, the stock is also sold separately and is also at UNCompany as well.

Save the plates and buy a new stock :)

Just to add to what Mud Gunner brought up, I bought the King Arms woodkit, and indeed there is no f-ing way that buttplate will come off without unscrewing it. The downside is that you cannot do a quick battery switch in the field. For one you'll need to carry a screwdriver, and then I'm always paranoid about losing the two small metal plates that you screw into. They come out to accept the battery into the stock.

As well, the bottom handguard on my kit was a bit long and had to be shaved down some. I've heard that this is sometimes an issue with King Arms kits. Other than that, its your best bet at a price that is hard to beat. Looks and feels really nice as well.
