Star Sl-8.?

Hey,
I've been looking for some reviews on the Star Sl-8. I have only found ones on the conversion kit. So If someone has one, could they tell me how it is? or if you know of a review of it on the internet, could you please send me the link?

Thank you in advance.

i loved mine, the G36 mech box is really good but mine was shooting like 400 and it kicked ASS.

Looks sweet and is nice if you leave the full auto setting.

and that would be the conversion kit or the actual star sl-8 complete gun?

It's the same thing essentially. Whether it's a conversion or factory done IIRC. I had the SL-9 for a bit, but I found it was simply too big for me.

Whether you buy the SL-8/9 assembled or just get the kit, it has the internals of a G36, so you can base the performance on reviews of a G36, with an extended inner barrel.

yah, not many of my friends could use it but im 6'3" so i gots longs arms. Mine was a conversion kit but yah, either way its the same gear box (G36). Its not the lightest gun in the world either. but fun with a big spring.

The star SL series use the same mechbox and hop up combination as their g36 series. If you are concerned about preformance, take a look at the reviews of their G36E (The long one), as it should have a similar barrel length and cylinder as the SL series.

If your concerned about the build quality overall, your best bet is again to look at some of the G36 reviews (Same plastic is used to build both AEGs, and in some cases the same parts are used), as well as reviews of the kit. Though as I understand it, the SL series have been updated since the kit was released to be more realistic. (i.e. it dosen't use Star's huge front hand guard).

we have had som problems with the STAR G36 series here in denmark, once an M150 spring was installed and it shot 80 m/s the mechanic used 20 hours on it and eventually changed almost every thing to TM parts, after that it shoot fine.

we use f(eet)p(er)s(econd) aka fps
not m/s which i assume is meters / second

Crazy canucks -.^
