HELP! from all G36 owners with 9.6v batery

I am about to purchase a CA G36 from ASCA. But before I do I would like to know how to get a 9.6 volt battery into the stock foregrip. Im not interested in buying the larger foregrip because I prefer the gun as it looks stock.

I have read from some different postings that its possible but what I need to know is what configuration the battery pack needs to be in and what, if any mods need to be done to the hand guard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just get yourself a standard 9.6V mini battery, it installs the same way as the 8.4V mini packs. I have no problems running 9.6V batteries in my TM G36C or CA G36.

First off if you have never modded a gun, don't do it yourself.

Get a gunsmith to mod it.
Are you going to keep it stock? i.e Internals.

Here is how to mod it for a 9.6v http://www.uncompany.com/information...6c1500modi.asp

I do however will enforce the dont do it yourself unless you are 100% capable
as I have seen people make a small mistake and ruin the whole front end.

You will also need one of these http://www.uncompany.com/images/batt...h-g36c_big.jpg

Ya that will work. Personally I'm too lazy to mod my gun for the extra 300mAh, I'll just carry another battery. ;) If you play in the cold, two may not be enough but in the warmer weather one should be good enough for a day, it is for me anyway.

as far as I know its not the Mah that makes the battery larger its the extra cell. ie; 8.4 volt= 7 cells 9.6 volt= 8 cells

as far as I know Mah has no impact on the batteries size. I could be mistaken though.

I also just found this. Im pretty certain its a better battery and the seller states that it will fit in a G36;

I have contacted the seller to make sure that it will fit into the G36 with no mods and I will update as soon as I hear back from him.

Amazing KG3...... Just to confirm........ Your sure that your batteries are 9.6 and you didnt do any mods? Its not that I dont beleive you I just want to confirm before ordering the battery and the gun.

That's the same battery (the 9.6V Intellect) that I use in my guns without any mods.

i use the 9.6v intellect in my g36c no mods

Amazing KG3 January 15th, 2007 19:33

ditto, the crazy wacky one in like 3 pieces is the one you need to mod.

CDN_Stalker January 15th, 2007 19:36

Just keep it simple and go for the highest mAh battery you can find in 8.4V. Really not a lot of need (compared to the hassle sometimes) to go 9.6V. If you MUST, you can buy the larger forgrip available, cut the hook off the front end of the upper receiver, and you are good to go.

Amazing KG3 January 15th, 2007 19:38

is this a CA36C, K, or standard?

Uziguy January 15th, 2007 20:42

Its the Ca36. The longest of the 3.
