Well R6

Due to the short name of this cheap china aeg, it won't search correctly because it has too little characters. I know there are little reviews out there on the net but for the people who bought from buyairsoft.ca, could you tell me more about your overall impressions/chrono/anything related. Thanks :)

aZn_triXta07 is getting an R5, which is probably very similar in stats, you can try to PM him or post in his BuyAirsoft.ca Review thread to get some feedback.

Overall consensus is they are nice looking with cheap internals.

Try asking over at Arnies, they're a little more current on the China clones.

the Rs

hello
I'm from Israel and here its very hard to find high grade AEGs, therefor market is flooded with Well AEGs, we had experiences with the R6 to 8.

the R5 is OK, the only problem we had with it is the crappy plastic, it tends to break on the linker between the stock and the lower body. it looks like internal stress and if its damage it will be probably already cracked in the box. the R5 compilable with most of the Marui internal and external. and it can serve you "Well" is nothing else is available.

the R6 and 7 are crap, it will wobble in your hands and you will leave a crumb trail as you run, just dont...

with the R8 we had only lil experience with but as the R5 is seems ok

now about FPS, this one is tricky there is very high variance with the Rs, some are doning 70~Mps and some are "broken" and can shoot as high as 100 Mps.

Where are you getting your information from? The main difference with these guns is with the exterior (for some) and that they aren't as fine-tuned as everything else.

Would you happen to be the one who posted the review and video of the WELL R5 on Youtube? I got my R5 and I totally agree with you in terms of the plastic. I did not find this issue whoever with the CYMA MP5's though. Anyways I'm going to replace the upper receiver and cocking tube with CA metal parts anyhow :P

*sigh*

Here and here for starters.

Tell me where I'm wrong, and I'll apologize and send you a cookie.

aZn_triXta07 February 15th, 2007 17:18

You said in that post that it's because of cheap internals. I didn't find anything noting that China guns or in this case the WELL R6 uses cheap internal parts, that's what I understood from what you wrote, from what I found in those links is as I said they cut the costs with less time spent on tuning the gearbox let alone putting it together.

is it worth spending $255 for this gun though? I mean, surely it is composed of mainly plastic with the exception of a few metal counterparts but if I'm buying it mainly for display and i'm on a budget. Is this aeg right for me? What other options are there under $400 for stock and with a battery. I prefer the m4...

hate to break it to you man that it just simply isnt cheap, airsoft isnt a sport to do on the cheap.
