Proud CASV barrel threading

Ok, I'm fucking stumped. This should be easy, but I'm tired and confused and want someone to spoonfeed me the fucking answer.

I have a Proud CASV front end on my M4. I have a Noveske flash hider that I'm told is a 14 -. It doesn't fit on the threading on the CASV, nor does it fit on the threading for a G&P M4CQBR. To me, this suggests the barrel threading is 14 +.

If I'm looking down the barrel, i.e. the gun is resting on the butt plate, I turn CLOCKWISE to tighten the flash hider and COUNTER CLOCKWISE to loosen it.

Someone straighten me out. What is the fucking threading on this barrel and can I use THIS to adapt it to the NOVESKE?

EDIT - Why the FUCK can't someone standardise this shit? Jesus Christ...

Clockwise / Positive / Right handed (typical threading on almost everything you use). Counter-clockwise / Negative / Left Handed.

That adapter is clockwise to counter-clockwise (positive to negative), you're good to get that.

EDIT: It would be nice to have a "standard" and only one type of rotation but the opposing threading needs to exist. "Where the rotation of a shaft would cause a conventional right-handed nut to loosen rather than to tighten." With all those pieces involved in a front end it would really suck to be tightening your suppressor/flash hider and have it loosen another more integral part of the barrel.

The Proud CASV set is Positive threading Morb. I have the same one.

You concur with Xhale that this adaptor will work? Seems to me this is the opposite of what I need, but I can't find anything that adapts the other way.

Hold up, I read it wrong. The clockwise threading is external. You we're right you need the opposite. You need clockwise internal to counter-clockwise external.

Sorry I should really read, anyway this works: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=15761

Ahh i made that mistake and got the negative one, but i sold that and just bought the postive thread one instead

Hope that helps

Rob, you'll have to realize that although the adapter will work, because the two threads are opposing, if you try to tighten the suppressor on the adapter, it will naturally loosen the adapter off your outer barrel and vice versa.

If the option is open to you, the better route would be to just get a 14mm positive suppressor.
