Double Mini Battery?
I got a double mini (dont know what its called) and it wont fit into the front of my gun. it is basically 2 minis hooked together, and twice the size of my present battery. i was wondering if i could seperate them and use them as 2 seperate batteries. it is a 9.6v 1400 mah battery.

its called a butterfly/nunchuck battery

Seperating them will result in having 2 4.8v packs.. not enuf to power the gun.
|
what kind of gun and are you installing the battery correctly?

thanks, i was trying to fit one above and below the barrel, but above its tough. i was assuming that each pack was 9.6v but only 700 mah?

No you add voltages not mah. Each cell has the same mah.

This is for an M4 right? Remove the fuse holder and you'll have all the room you need. (please solder your conections, don't just tape them)

Cells in series, the voltage adds to another, so 7 1.2V cells equals 8.4V.
Putting the batteries in parallel you keep the voltage the same, but increase the mAh, so two 8.4V 600mAh batteries (a pair of minis) will supply a current of 1200mAh to the same source. |
