Upgrades / Performance: KSC G19 or TM P226 or TM 1911A1?

Which is better in terms of more upgrades (metal slides, barrels, frames) and performance / durability? ive heard nothing but good things for the 226 and 1911 on propane but the g19 needs to be upgraded to metal for sure. Anyone? feel? looks? etc. all 3 of these are new and the are all about the same price, with the glock being a little lower and its upgrades a little cheaper. I kno they are not the same gun but still help me out :p

PS Added Tokyo Marui 1911A1 to the title but outside doesnt forum say it.

Given the chance I'd probably buy the P226. KSC's G19 is a tough little gun, shoots propane easy with Metal upgrade and recoil rod, I reckon it shoots easily over 320fps judging by the coke can result(I've done both side of the can with just the metal slide and recoil rod/spring on a particularly good day with propane), but there are little stuff out there available for it. Its a workhorse but not much for bling. SD stuff for G19 are hard to come by as well. TM's GBB I feel are also more solidly built than the KSC, less play in the fitment as well(I still have a FMU KSC USPc and a FMU Hi Capa 5.1, though I've just sold my G19). KSC though I feel for a GBB they kick harder....

dude, the g19 on 007 airsoft says its already got metal slide and barrel, i know this because im glock shopping as well :) so far narrowed it down to the g19 or the kjw g23.
my advice to you(what little i can offer) go to google, write the name of the gun you want, followed by "review" that way you can see what other owners have had to say about the gun, this is how i landed on the decision to get the glock 23, very good word of mouth

Don't discount the TM Hi-Capa 5.1:D

thanks fr the quick reply im really diggin the sig too. i also own a ksc usp .45 and it fires great feels good. quality is very nice as well. i think it all comes down to what i like the most i suppose. from what you say the g19 a rare commodity when i t comes to accessories and such. I kno that i can get the threaded barrel and silencer ive always wanted for the sig quite quickly off jugglez. how is the blowback and reliability of the p226?

yea, pretty kool if you like colts, but then again, if you got a nice budget, why not spring for western arms? i was gonna pay for a beretta for my dad (my mom was gonna order it for him, but im paying cuz its from me) but then i decided that i would go with a KJW model, since the western arms ones run off a different type of gas, and the green gas(propane) models are easier to get gas for

You can get a flow restrictor for WA guns, depending on the model, that will allow the use of propane. It's one of the Airsoft Innovation products, developed by MadMax.

i wish the flow restrictor worked for the WA 92 FS PV then i would not even have to not sleep over deiciding between the g19 or 226 lol

As for the OP, as an owner of a KSC G19 FMU, I'll cast my vote on that specific model

Hey madlz, if you're in the market for a 1911, grab a WA. They're pretty much the PTWs of pistols.

I have no experience with the G19, but ... it looks too damn ugly for me. Yuck...

stokes August 8th, 2007 02:12

C'mon KOS g19s are sexy! You know you like em... dont deny.... :P
