I hear TM.. Then you throw a Creation kit onto it.. And upgrade the fuck outta the internals..

(Anyone ever custom build pistols?)

I love my TM.

And, since you've said irrespective of cost... You can get some really nice full metal kits for it if you want the all metal look and feel.

Im a KJ guy myself. KJ works cranks out some very decent quality metal guns that work great out of the box with out upgrades. For how they feel and work, the costs arnt to bad at all.

I agree, many people complain about the leaky mags. Personally I have never had a problem.

I would say TM Plus Has it in stock.
+Can run Propane out of the box
+Has Trades (if you don't want to drop 200 bucks on a FMU)
+TM's Reliability
-I have Heard the Slide can scratch easily
I guess kj is the way if you want metal and tm is the way for reliability and cost

I would say KJW as well. However, there are so many nice bodies and parts out there that building your own is good to. I had one done for me. You basically have to pay $280 or whatever for a trigger, hammer, mag and some pins from TM, then get aluminum and steel parts for the rest.

Best metal kit your money can buy: Prime

dodger_me August 10th, 2007 19:15

How much is the kit? What kind of Modification does it take to install? Any Downsides, Like the slide lock not working ect.

ILLusion August 10th, 2007 19:44

The Prime kits run you under $850 in Canada. It's pretty hard to find due to the price and difficulty of importing these kits, but back when there were about 10 times more retailers, I believe they were selling these kits for around $750 + taxes.

It took me forever to sell a brand new second one I had, so I had to dump it at a loss for $580. The buyer got it for a steal.

Anyways, it's manufactured with pretty tight tolerances, so some work is required to get the looser tolerance oem guts fitted in to the lower receiver.

What kind of modifications are required? Just... have multiple file sets and a dremel tool handy. Several surfaces have to be taken down for a polished and flush fit. But once installed, the gun is ROCK SOLID and still feels nicer than any other kit I've installed. Full functionality of all features are retained.

The casting job, markings and finish are all top notch.

850.... This makes me realize how poor i am. I would sooner buy an aeg so i can do outdoor then buy that

How did you get that hogue grip on?

Really? I was under the impression that the Eagles and the fixed slide pistol's were the only TM's that were able to use green out of the box.

Can anyone else confirm that? I was thinking of a P226 sometime in the future, also.
