? PTW M150 cylinder compatability...

I just got off the phone with Airsoft Extreme (USA) & their sales associate informed me that the M150 cylinder upgrade is NOT compatible with the Max Challenge kits !
Does anyone know if this is true or not?

All MAX guns are designed to use the M150 cylinders, as well as the M90, M110 and M130.

All Generation 3 guns can only use the M90, M110 and M130.

MAX challenge kits come with the M150 cylinder.

What about the kits that MadMax is selling...I just ordered one from him but it doesn't come with the M150 cylinder...

MadMax made arrangements with SystemA to bring in SCK with M110s instead of the stock M150s as a convenience to players in Canada, as there are no public fields that will allow you to use that cylinder. In effect, he is reducing your up-front purchase cost to play.

If you have to buy the M150 kit outright, it is a few dollars more than the M90-M130 kits. But ALL MAX GUNS CAN USE M150!!!

Gen 1-2 should only use M90-M110 and Gen 3 can use M90-M130.

And there are fields that allow 500 fps, but in semi-auto only. About half the ones I play at allow that.

Does the Systema MAX offer any advantages over the older generations? Does a MAX somehow perform better or last longer if its run on lower powered cylinders?

I know of no local fields that allow 500+ FPS so I really have no use for the M150. But if buying a MAX means greater reliability, I'm willing to spend the extra $$ and sell the cylinder.

the MAX versions feature hardened gears and a steel outer barrel. definitely more durable. the way i figure it, running a MAX on a lesser than M150 cylinder can only translate into greater longevity. it barely sounds like it's working when using an M150, but when using like an M110, it's utterly effortless.
