Takedown in northeast Calgary

Police made a dramatic take down late Wednesday afternoon after an incident involving what appeared to be a handgun.

It happened just before 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Devry Institute of Technology.

Students saw a weapon being handled by two men in a car and called police.

Officers took no chances and surrounded the vehicle with their guns drawn.

Wednesday evening Police confirmed the "gun" was in fact a BB gun.

No charges will be laid.

Yeah isn't that still the industrial area? With the airport and all that fun stuff?

Still, public exchange or play with the gun got them a good show. And I read this they're weren't too stupid and got on the ground right away; seeing no ones charged and no brains to clean up.

Yet another Takedown for police involving Airsoft Guns.

That link didnt state that it was an airsoft gun. It could have actually been a BB pistol.

Yeah most of these sort of things involve cheap springers, pellet guns or painted CrappyTire guns. Most people who actualy fork out hundreds of dollars for a GBB or AEG don't take those kinds of chances.

I hope this doesn't change anything... not only that but the handgun should be in a sealed case and always in the trunk as far as Im concerned.
