GBB not holding BBs in chamber

I have a TM Sig Sauer P226, but when its cocked, the BBs wont hold in the chamber, if I tilt the barrell down, it just rolls out.

Same thing when the slide kicks back after a shot, instead of picking up the next round for another shot, it picks it up and pushes it through the barrell and it rolls out the end.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How long have you had it? If new, have to set your hop up yet? Most airsoft guns tend to be shipped without any hop up set (not sure why) and BBs will roll out. If you've had the gun for a while, your hop up rubber in the breech might be gone or worn out. Never heard about this happening to a GBB, but AEGs yes and also happened to my TM G17 springer when I wasn't careful enough cleaning the barrel (ripped the bucking right off, never chambered BBs again.)

I second the no-hopup notion.

your hopup is adjustable right? Try turning the hopup on so the rubber keeps the bb's in.
edit: you guys beat me to it lol

I just got it myself, but I bought it used.

It seemed to work fine at first, but I had the slide off and the barrell out and was messing around seeing how everything worked. Possible that I somehow damaged or knocked out the hop-up rubber?

In retrospect, I'm an idiot, but my curiousity got the best of me.

This is my first GBB so I'm about as ignorant as they get.

Can it be fixed or replaced?

Most likely is that the rubber fell out. If you can find it you should be able to put it back in have it work. If it's damaged or lost then you'll have to get a new one.

hop-ups are readily avalible. Search wgchsop.com or uncompany.com for "p226" and tons of hits for hop-ups should come up.

The hop-up unit is located at the end of the barrel right next to the top of the magazine. BBs rolling out of the barrel are always issues with the hop-up or misfeeding. In your case I'd say its 99% a hop-up problem.

Look down your barrel as you're adjusting the hopup. Does a litttle nubby go up and down into the barrel from the top?

meekwap October 15th, 2007 13:55

Your all going to shake your heads at me now, but I don't know how to adjust my hop-up.

I'm learning all of this as I go

ACU Kyle October 15th, 2007 14:59

carved down hop? or is it shrivled?

Styrak October 15th, 2007 15:02

Take off the slide, and there should be a dial on the slide at the back of the inner barrel that you turn to change the hopup.

Got it fixed! Thanks guys, I owe ya big time

Styrak October 16th, 2007 14:33

Was the problem no hopup?
