Plastic frame, and you can't carry airsoft USPs in the "cocked/locked" position.

Kimbo October 20th, 2007 10:33

Triggers on pretty much all H&K airsoft guns are prone to breaking so be careful you don't pull the trigger while the gun is on safe.

ACU Kyle October 20th, 2007 10:59

well the real USP has a plastic frame as well. But how does a safe pull hurt the trigger?

Yeah, but you see, airsoft ABS is NOT (and I stress that) on par with RS polymers.

The AS (KSC) USP's magwell gets pretty chewed up after you've been drilling with it for a while. This isn't coming out of my ass either. I owned one for close to 3 years (just sold her last night).

Styrak October 20th, 2007 13:35

So why can't you carry it cocked and locked?

matt491 October 20th, 2007 13:40

Only bad thing about the KJW USP P8 in my opinion is no trades. The internals IMO aren't that bad, despite what people say, the mags do get a little leaky after good use, but it's an easy fix with some teflon tape! And it comes full metal? If trades don't matter to you, you can't go wrong. Great gun in my opinion.

Trades matter to me, so I'm looking for a KSC USP .45

my dad has a USP and when its cocked and you put it on safe, it decocks it. your pistol would be holstered hot, witch isnt very safe.

ACU Kyle October 20th, 2007 13:58

lol so its almost like my sig?

Get age verified, buy a used one on the forums here. Some already even have upgraded metal slides with the proper trades and all and are STILL cheaper than new.
But the main thing is GET AGE VERIFIED. If you're under 18, which by your dp, you certainly look like you are, you ain't gettin' one.

dodger_me October 20th, 2007 15:47

Also You might want a magwell rubber thingy, A holster can easily bump the mag catch

But is it a double-action? My KJW P229 doesn't have a safety, just a decocking lever. But it's double action so the first trigger pull is heavy. This is just like the real one.

ACU Kyle October 20th, 2007 18:42

i already bought it (well a parent did) but it was bout 250.00, which is a bit of a deal. (also noticed the KJW USP Compact was 350.00 i wonder why?)
