VN Buttplate Securing
 

Anyone else who has ever taken a VN to the field will appreciate this mod.

Very simple to do. You take your buttplate and where the fake slotted screw is on the back, drill a hole right through the center of it (I burned through with a soldering iron, whatever you need to do) and then remove the screw directly under it (the extremely long one that secures the stock to the receiver). Put your buttplate back on then insert the long screw through the hole in the buttplate and back through the original hole. Screw into place and voila, buttplate ain't going anywhere without a phillips screwdriver.
